Working from home brings with it the lack of input provided by a commute, colleagues, and a separate place to work.
Most of us have been working from home for a while now and are well acquainted with how our workstation is serving us. Having a dedicated space that inspires is vital for the quality of productivity and sanity.
A comfortable and inspiring work space is what you should aim for.
Here’s an easy how to: (yes! even in the middle of a lockdown!)
- Add neutral wallpaper: Painting may not be an option but the online market does have plenty of fine wallpapers to choose from.
- Add a dash of greens: Placing plants at eye level will work wonders on your mood. If you don’t have plants you can sow microgreens ( check YouTube for more details, plenty of options are available!) and keep near your table. They will work as a fresh addition to your table and your salad.
- Move the furniture: Using and seeing the same things can get monotonous. Try switching your furniture within the house. Change of positions of table/chair/sofa near the windows or balcony is great options as well.
Accessorise: With plenty of DIY options to choose from, it is far easier to create your own personalized accessories like potted plants, pillows, mirrors, artwork, etc. Adding a row of books, sticking quotes that inspire also add to the work aesthetics.
“It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.”- Mae Jemison
We are influenced by our immediate environment. Making an effort to take care of this space is crucial. After all, inspired spaces inspire us.
